Ryanne Westlake, Miss Tecumseh 2025
Ryanne Westlake is a 22-year-old Registered Practical Nurse who brings consistency, empathy, and accountability into everything she does. Her path into healthcare was shaped by years of showing up for others, staying steady under pressure, and choosing work that carries responsibility.
Nursing has given Ryanne a front-row seat to people at their most vulnerable, reinforcing her belief that how you treat others in difficult moments matters just as much as clinical skill.
Ryanne’s ability to make people feel comfortable, included, and respected has been recognized through her being named Miss Congeniality at both the Miss Tecumseh pageant 2024 and the Miss Windsor/Miss LaSalle pageant 2025. These acknowledgements reflect more than approachability, they speak to her consistency, willingness to listen, and her habit of making space for others. It’s not something she turns on for the stage; it’s how she moves through life.
As Miss. Tecumseh 2025, Ryanne is actively involved in community events and local initiatives throughout the year. She believes representation means more than visibility; it requires presence, follow-through, and genuine connection with the people you serve.
Outside of her professional life, Ryanne prioritizes both physical and mental well-being through jiu-jitsu and dance. Jiu-jitsu has taught her how to stay calm under pressure, adapt when situations change, and trust herself in moments of discomfort. Dance offers a different kind of balance—one rooted in movement, expression, and release. For Ryanne, mental health isn’t only about talking through challenges; it’s also about carving out time to do something purely for yourself. She believes that caring for your mind starts with allowing yourself moments of strength, creativity, and joy.
Ryanne’s commitment to mental health advocacy began eight years ago with her involvement in Jack.org during high school and has continued to evolve as she’s grown personally and professionally. She is especially proud to support Wounded Warriors Canada, an organization that provides critical mental health services for veterans, first responders, and their families. Their work reflects Ryanne’s belief that support shouldn’t end when service does.
Ryanne approaches every opportunity with intention and honesty. She values real conversations, meaningful service, and leadership that feels authentic rather than performative. As Miss Tecumseh, she is proud to represent her community with integrity, resilience, and a strong sense of responsibility. A quote Ryanne likes to live by is “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” — Oscar Wilde
