Michela Guzzetti

Michela Guzzetti is born and raised in Windsor, Ontario by her Italian immigrant family. Brought up by hard work and dedication, Michela demonstrates these qualities through her passions and goals. Dance has been her outlet to express herself since she was 4 years old. Her passion for dance made Michela the woman she is today. It taught her self-motivation, self-love, and confidence. Michela hopes to inspire and empower the youth in her community to find an outlet as she did through dance, allowing them to benefit their mental health, step out of their comfort zone, and believe in themselves. As an aspiring hairstylist about to begin her education at St. Clair College’s hairstyling program, Michela understands the confidence hair provides women from all walks of life. She began donating her hair at age six to Transition To Betterness (T2B). This organization is so meaningful to Michela because it provides comfort to patients and their families impacted by life-altering illnesses. Since Michela’s nonna, whom she’s named after, passed away due to cancer, Michela feels the need to help people in her community dealing with similar situations. She aims to do this by growing out her hair to once again donate it, getting involved in the non-profit’s fundraisers, and volunteering for them as often as possible. Michela believes all women deserve to feel beautiful, confident, and love themselves on the inside and outside.

Michela has admired pageantry and what it stands for after watching the Miss Universe Pageant on television in 2015. Watching this pageant revealed to her how pageants showcase, not only beauty, but intelligence, confidence, and poise making it a platform for women to shine and make a difference. Michela is a leader who desires to make a difference. Her empathetic approach to life and willingness to take risks allows her to connect with the people in her community. Michela is eager to continue working with Transition to Betterness and help strengthen her community bonds with this platform. Through the Miss Tecumseh 2024 pageant, Michela hopes to celebrate her individuality, confidence, self-love, and inner beauty.
