Maya Anderson is a 21-year-old esthetician who recently graduated from St. Clair College. She specializes in nail techniques offering services through her home-based salon. Maya enjoys doing her own gel nail extensions and spending time with her family and her boyfriend. Maya’s grandmother taught her to sew, and ever since she loves to make her own clothes.
Anyone who knows Maya knows she has a heart for animals. One organization that is important to Maya is the humane society. Her pride and joy is her cat Luci, who was adopted from the humane society. She’s had many encounters with this organization, whether it was adopting her beloved pet, finding an injured stray cat, or even a whole litter of kittens under her deck, humane society has always done such amazing work to help. This organization works to end all forms of animal suffering and that is something Maya is very passionate about, and would love the opportunity to work with this amazing organization and to spread awareness of the animals in need within our community.

This is the first pageant she has competed in, and she plans on participating in many more in the future. With the title of Miss Tecumseh, Maya plans on endorsing herself in the community raising money for charities and participating in community events. Maya would absolutely adore the chance to inspire self-love in the people around her because she believes that loving oneself is an important aspect of a happy life.
