Ryanne Westlake
Ryanne Westlake, a 20-year-old student, will be graduating from the Registered Practical Nursing Program this Fall and is currently enrolled in her first year of the Paramedic Program at Saint Clair College. Ryanne has always known from a young age that she wanted to work in the healthcare field. Her dedication to the healthcare industry shines through as she works in a Long-term Term Care facility showcasing her kind and compassionate nature. She is also working as a soccer coach through Little Kickers where she helps create a positive and enjoyable environment for the children while fostering their interest to play soccer. Her aspiration to become a Mental Health nurse while pursuing Paramedics highlights her commitment to making a difference in people’s lives. Her passion for mental health advocacy and community involvement started about 7 years ago when she was involved in the jack.org group within her high school and has continued during clinical rotations during her program. Ryanne’s dream of becoming a mental health nurse while studying paramedics reflects her deep commitment to positively impacting people’s lives and perfectly aligns with her desire to support organizations like Wounded Warriors. Wounded Warriors Canada plays a crucial role in providing specialized programs to enhance the mental well-being of our dedicated service members and first responders. They offer a range of services to assist in the recovery and transition of those who protect our country. This alone highlights her commitment to creating a positive impact on the community.
Ryanne thrives on community engagement and embraces new challenges at every turn. Her genuine care for others is evidenced by her involvement in events and volunteering, especially during open houses at the College.
